Mind Mapping ® is a "Thought Organisation Technique" invented by the international author and expert on the brain, Tony Buzan, in 1971.

The World Mind Mapping Council administers and promotes the sport and also awards the prestigious title of Mind Mapping World Champion. The current reigning World Champion is Phil Chambers
